The Native American Indians come together to celebrate their culture at ‘Pow Wow’ meetings throughout North America. These are festivals of drumming and folk song.
This is lovely workshop for the youngest children, focusing on simple pulse, rhythm and call and response in the Native American way. As well as drums and percussion, we also use our wooden marimba to recreate the evocative sounds of nature and play folk songs from the Pow Wow.
