Dhol drumming from the Punjab, Festivals of Diwali, Holi, Lohri
Foundation, Key Stage 1 and 2
The India workshops are based around the Dhol drumming techniques used at Banghra dance festivals and celebrations. The music and style comes from the Punjab region. It is exciting and powerful and provides a real challenge for Key Stage 2 and can also be simplifued for Key Stage 1. A variety of authentic Dhol drums and other percussion instruments are used to create the vibrant soundscape of India.
