Come and Join The Team

We are currently looking to recruit a small working team comprising musicians/workshop leaders, a marketing and administrator and a project manager to be the future of World Music Workshops.

Since its beginning, the company has been run exclusively by Jim Bernardin, regularly collaberating with other msucians, agencies and event organisers, but as yet not expanding its own profile. With the advent of social media and an ever-increasing demand for quality live experiences and workshops, this has never been a better time to come onbaord and help to grow World Music Workshops in order to secure its long term legacy and develop your own career at the same time.

We are looking for the following people and skills

Percussionist/Musician Workshop Leaders

to be trained as a workshop leader, delivering workshops, assemblies and lessons at schools, events and within the corporate sector. You may already be a competent drummer/percusssionist with some experience of teaching, and you will be willing to learn to take full responsibility for working with groups of all kinds. You may be a graduate of university or college or simply looking for that next step in your career in the area of performing arts and education.

Marketing/Administration

We are looking for a person adept in all the nuances of Social Media to expand and develop the company profile on the internet. Ideally as well as having the IT skills, you will be a creative thinker and understand how to reach the right people for each project we run. You would also be able to organise company files and documents and create a filing management system.

Project Manager

You will ideally have energy, creativity, good organisational skills and a positive disposition. You will initially be involved with planning and delivering events in the field of music workshops/festivals/themed nights/gigs and courses, liaising with community groups, charities, agencies and private clients, leading to organising and running whole events from start to finish.

Currently the above posts do not exist. They will all be new appointments. Initially, some of this work will be paid on an agreed hourly rate or a full day/half day freelance basis. Occasional work will be voluntary/unpaid but kept to a minimum, and it is hoped that after a succesful trial period there may be the viability to create a salaried contract with an ongoing position in the company. Apprenticeship and Internship positions will be considered.

Email jim@worldmusicworkshops.co.uk to arrange a phone/video call and to send your CV and the position you're interested in.

We are based in Worthing, West Sussex and work regularly throughout London and the South East of England and occasionally further a field.
